Apparently Monkey Can Regrets

fig neurobiology researcher at Yale University, Connecticut, United States, examines the process of decision making by monkeys. Their results, published in the journal Neuron edition of 26 May.

"The sense of regret helping us recognize the choices that a bad result, so that we can look at other options which result is better," said Daeyeol Lee, professor of neurobiology at Yale University.

The reaction of monkeys that sorry

Humans tend to react to new choices, if the previous option did not work. The researchers found that like humans, the ability to make choices for better opportunities, also owned a monkey.

Hiroshi Abe Lee and colleagues noted there's a monkey brain nerve activity indicating that these animals have a sense of regret when you lose in a game.

A sense of regret that makes them choose the other way so he could win. After a successful win in the game, the monkey will tend to repeat the same choices in order to win again. In other words, monkeys have the ability to predict the outcome of a choice.

Neural activity of the brain that work in this process is the prefrontal cortex. These sections work to determine emotional and rational choice when the monkey was sorry.
